Camp Attach invites individuals to volunteer on the Safety Check Crew to help run each of our camps! Volunteers play a crucial role in helping our camps to run effectively and efficiently and to help bring support and care to families.
Who should volunteer?
Anyone interested in helping families to find success and healing through the use of therapeutic techniques and strategies! Professionals and interested individuals are invited to join us on our Safety Check Crew.
Team Training
This 2.5 day mandatory intensive training prepares our volunteers to help serve the families who come to camp. It provides volunteers with the skills necessary to create and maintain a therapeutic environment and serve children and parents in the best way possible. This training is held the two days prior to each camp.
Volunteer responsibilities at Camp Attach include:
- Support for parents and children
- Activity set up
- Leading children’s activities
- Intervention aide
- Maintaining a therapeutic environment
Kitchen Staff
Another volunteer opportunity is in the kitchen! Several of our camps are also staffed by cook/kitchen volunteers. Our kitchen team plays a vital role in providing families and staff with delicious and nutritious meals throughout the week to nourish the body and soul.
Duties include:
- meal prep
- cooking
- kitchen/dining hall clean up
